God loves you. Do you know that?
He wants you to join him in heaven when you die physically, but are you 100% sure you will make it to heaven?
If you’re not, please read on. If you’re sure, it might not be a bad idea to read on just to be doubly sure!
If you’re an atheist or have different beliefs, let us pretend that what the Bible says is true, and you can decide for yourself afterwards whether to believe or not. Trust us, this is worth 7 minutes of your time.
Let’s proceed!

What separates us from God? It is sin that separates us from him as we cannot be with him in heaven due to our sins. Going to hell is the punishment for our sins. Sin is any bad thing that you’ve done. You may say that you do not sin much or barely sin. However, in God’s eyes, one sin (even the smallest “white” lie) is all it takes to deserve hell. Here are some verses from the Bible stating this clearly:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Here are some Bible verses stating clearly that in return for our sins, when we die, we go to hell and end up in the lake of fire:
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 20:14-15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

We have established that we are all sinners and deserve to go to hell. However, we said in the beginning that God loves us all right? If God loves us, does he want us to go to hell? No, he does not. Therefore, what did God do to allow us to join him in heaven? The answer is he came down to earth as a man, Jesus Christ, and died for all our sins (past, present, future). Many of you should be familiar with the life of Jesus and what he did, but here is a short summary:
Jesus is God who lived up in heaven, but he came down here on earth and became a man. He lived for thirty three and a half years without committing any sin. Then there were certain people who were jealous of him, framed him on false charges and crucified him. He was then buried and raised himself from the dead. Now he is up in heaven. Jesus went through all this bloody mess to solve our sin problem. Remember, your sins are the problem why you cannot go to heaven. The only thing that can wash away your sins is the blood of Jesus.
Here are some Bible verses that clearly state Jesus was sinless:
1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1 Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Here are some Bible verses that clearly state Jesus died for all our sins and his blood is the only thing that can cleanse us from our sins:
Romans 5:8-9 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 Corinthians 15:3-4 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Now that we know that Jesus Christ has died for all our sins and his blood is the only thing that can wash away our sins, does this mean that everybody is going to heaven? The answer is no as there is one thing that we must do in order to be saved and go to heaven. The following Bible verses clearly illustrate this:
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
Acts 16:30-31 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.
Galatians 2:16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
It is clear that all we need to do to be saved and have everlasting life to be with God in heaven is to believe on Jesus Christ and what he has done for us: dying on the cross for all our sins so that his blood can cleanse us of all our sins, and being buried and resurrected. It is also clear that nothing else besides this will get us to heaven. Attending church does not get you to heaven, neither does water baptism. This means that there is nothing we can do, no number of good deeds we do that will allow us to get to heaven unless we believe on Jesus Christ. Even if you have only managed to commit one sin in your life (remember, we are all sinners) and you have done many good deeds, but you do not believe on Jesus Christ, you will still not make it to heaven. This may be difficult to accept, but it is the truth. We cannot be with God in heaven because of sin, so the only way to solve this was for God to come down himself as a man to sacrifice himself for all our sins so that we can be forgiven. This is God’s gift of salvation and eternal life to us and all we need to do is to accept this gift by believing on Jesus Christ.
This Bible verse also states that we should repent as a sinner, that is, be sorry for being a sinner and turn to God to accept his gift, by believing on Jesus Christ:
2 Corinthians 7:10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Now that we understand what we have to do to get to heaven, let us try to understand what this gift of salvation and eternal life is. First of all, let us understand what a gift is. A gift is free and permanent, meaning if someone gives you a gift and asks for some kind of compensation for it (labor, money, etc.), it is not a gift. Neither would it be a gift if that someone asks for it back at a later time, as it would only be like a free rental. A gift is also paid by the giver and in this case, God paid for this gift of salvation himself through Jesus Christ. We are the receiver of this gift and we do not have to pay for it at all. The other thing we have to understand is that this is a gift of eternal life so once we receive it, we get to keep it forever. The gift itself is of eternal life, so once we accept it, we have eternal life to be with God in heaven. We receive it one time and it lasts forever. It is given to us by the love, mercy and grace of God.
Here are some Bible verses that state this gift of eternal life:
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Do you believe everything you’ve heard in the gospel so far? Are you ready to receive God’s gift of salvation and eternal life?
Remember, God loves you, but he cannot make you love him. He has given you free will so you have to choose. If you are ready to receive God’s gift of salvation and eternal life, all you have to do is to say it to God, and you’re saved. You can say this prayer and you’re saved, but remember, you have to say it to God and mean it:
Dear God,
I repent as a sinner. I believe Jesus is God, who died, buried and resurrected so his blood can wash away my sins. I trust only in his blood alone to save me, not my good works. Please save me from hell. Thank you.
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

If you said the prayer and meant it, you have accepted God’s gift of salvation and eternal life. This is the most important thing you have done in your time in this world so we would like to congratulate you! However, the journey for you as a disciple and follower of Jesus Christ has just begun. Remember, you have been saved to do good as you cannot do good to get saved.
We encourage you to start reading the King James Bible as it is the word of God and God wants to speak to you.
We also recommend that you find a local, independent, fundamental, King James Bible-only, Bible-believing, dispensational, Baptist church to join. God bless you on your spiritual walk!
